Tristan Butterfield trained at the Royal College of Art in London and has worked for Branson Coates Architecture, United Designers and David Chipperfield Architects. He has been Visiting Professor at Winchester School of Art and Savannah College of Art and Design, and is currently Visiting Professor at Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design in industrial design. Tristan Butterfield established Butterfield & Butterfield Limited in 2001, and has since undertaken a wide selection of work in the UK and abroad. Recent projects include luxury goods for Czech & Speake, award winning fabric and wallpaper collections for Zoffany, furniture for Mary Fox Linton and the home of Dior’s fashion photographer Nick Knight. From 2002 until 2004 he was appointed design consultant and creative head of luxury fabric house Zoffany. He is the 'interiors and brand' expert for the US television and style network HGTV and a member of Style Vision in France, where he speaks on 'future trends' in the interior design and fabric industries. His work has been published extensively, which include international
design journals, newspapers and consumer magazines.
